BULLETIN HOUSE
PROJECT
DESCRIPTION
“”From a building right in front of my windows, I can observe of the sunrises and sunsets. The voices of children
playing, laughing, yelling, and crying on the playground crawl up to the eight floor, where I write. Their voices so
innocent from a distance.” -Andrea Hirata”
INFORMATION
Bulletin House

Bulletin house was a renovation project on a 215 sqm site
area, locateed in the eastern part of Jakarta. The owner is
a middle-aged mother with two sons working as a lecturer.
The concept embraces her desire to own a house which
can act as a rendezvouz point for family members. We
design this space to encourage this family interaction.

Thus we add a “pavilion box”, sheltering two guest rooms
that are reserved for the owner’s two sons, which
penetrates through the volume of an existing building that accommodates the private spaces sought by the owner.

REJUVENATE JOGLO
PROJECT
DESCRIPTION
“”Light is what gives joy to building.””
INFORMATION
Rejuvenate Joglo

This project derived from the need of a multifunction and
sport activity room aside from the client’s main house. The
main concept is to prioritize the joglo house’s visualization
as culturally valuable buildings, and trying to visually
deemphasize the supporting building.

Therefore we “buried” the supporting building’s mass by
making a lower elevation and covering it with roof garden.

VILLA PECATU BALI
PROJECT
DESCRIPTION
“A combination of architecture, people and culture, assisted by the hands of nature that presents a compelling
panorama is the element that makes the timeless design of this building is not eroded at the same time and creates
warmness.”
INFORMATION
Villa Pecatu Bali

Local demographic is exotic nature that can not be
denied. Sensitive to the natural condition is the decisive
element towards creating a comfortable residence. Rather
than fight it, we engaged particular demographic character
of Pecatu, which is consisted of rocky soil, hilly contours
with less fertile land for plants and sea view which gives
satisfying scenery at the horizon.

Villa Pecatu Bali is the authentic proof that nature does not need to be reconstructed for residential framing but it
becomes the equivalent of calligraphy that is second to
none when synergized with architecture.

TRANSPARENT HOUSE
PROJECT
DESCRIPTION
“The sun never knew how great it was until hit the side of a building. -Louis Kahn”
INFORMATION
Transparent House

Want to make this house look out standing, unusual, but in a different way. Namely by designing this house almost no walls, except in the private area and service area. To be more felt continuity between inside and outside. So the spaces can be more playfull.

Communal area as the main room, placed on the front with double high ceiling and there is a floor of children’s study room designed floating impeccable. The stairs as the main circulation, placed in the middle of the house with the open sides leading to the pool that became the center point of this house. The master bedroom is floating above the pool terrace, giving the strong visual access to the swimming pool.

DIMINISHED HOUSE
PROJECT
DESCRIPTION
“A garden is a grand teacher, it teaches patience and careful watchfulness, it
teaches industry and above all it teaches entire trust.” -Gertrude Jekyll”
INFORMATION
Diminished House

This is a renovation project in which the previous house was diminished from 1200 sqm into 550 sqm, allowing each room to have an outdoor space. The process of the renovation was mainly focused on preserving the primary structure and also the big trees which grew in front and the back of the house.

Through an open space corridor which is stretched from the entrance to the pool area, we try to create a sequence of experience, giving the transition of the previous and new building. The family room, the heart of the house, is designed openly and transparently with the view of a beautifully designed landscape including the large existing trees and vertical garden as the background.
